Bedford County Librarian Training

We at the Allegheny Ukulele Kollective are thrilled to be able to donate ukuleles to the libraries of Bedford County. Before we can donate the kits however, we must teach the librarians about the instrument so they can become a resource to anyone interested in checking out a uke!

The training will consist of an hour learning the basics of the instrument, followed by an hour-long jam session to help reinforce what you will have learned. After this training, you will be able to tune a ukulele, know the basics of the instrument, know 3-5 chords, read ukulele chord sheets, and play a few simple songs. Ideally, you will be able to transfer this knowledge to your library patrons who wish to learn about the instrument and want to check out one of your ukulele kits.

We will provide some light refreshments at the training :)

Each library will receive two kits, which will include a ukulele, a gig bag, a tuner, & an instructional book. You will be given the two kits to take back to your library at this training program. In addition, as we expand the program, we will donate additional ukulele kits to libraries who request them,
