Curious about the Uke? Give one a strum or two and learn about the different sizes and styles available. We'll bring a bunch of ukes for you to try out. There are literally thousands of songs you can play with just a few simple chords!

Uke Newb 101

Never picked up a uke before? Or were you given one as a gift but never tried it? This is the workshop for you! Bring your uke or borrow one of ours. We'll teach you the basics of the ukulele including some simple chords and strum patterns. After you take this workshop, you'll be set for the C-Chord Jam!
For Beginners

C-Chord Jam

Learn the C and C7 chords along with a variety of strumming patterns. A great foundational workshop, you will also learn a few simple songs along with the basics of 'jamming'
For Beginners to Intermediate Players

Kid's Uke Workshop (Ages 5-12)

 It's never too early to learn your first instrument! The ukulele is a inexpensive instrument and is sized perfectly for kids. After learning a few simple chords, your kids will have everything they need to learn and to play hundreds, if not thousands of songs! Bring your uke or borrow one of ours!
For Beginners. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, please

Fingerstyle Workshop

In this workshop we'll explore a method of combining the melody of any standard folk or bluegrass song with some banjo-style right hand fingerpicking patterns to create an interesting "bluegrassy" sounding solo. Left hand techniques and "licks" will also be explored to add further interest to the solo. Handouts will be provided. Feel free to bring your uke (high G-string tuning preferably)
For Intermediate to Advanced Players

Uke'n Blues Workshop 

Blues. How to play a Uke to make it sound like a blues instrument. We'll go through some easy Blues in C. Shuffles, pinch patterns,turnarounds, and moveable 7th chords. It's a lot easier than you'd expect
